Simultaneous Interpretation Defined
This type of interpretation is where a speaker is giving their speech while an interpreter verbally transforms the words into another language in real-time. The person interpreting the speech may be sitting in a sound-proof booth equipped with microphones and headsets. The interpreter must have mastered the language being spoken as well as the language it is being converted to.
